Cotic frames are made first and foremost for the kind of long afternoon’s cutting about up the woods familiar to all British mountain bikers. They represent the combination of the highest quality materials and manufacturing, the very latest standards and tech yet still don’t cost the earth. They’re honest, straight-talking bikes and that’s why we love them.
Since the 19th century, Sheffield has been a place which has been pretty good at making things from steel. But the world had to wait until the early 2000’s for Cotic Bikes’ founder, Cy Turner, to build his first frame. That bike, the Soul, is now rightly the stuff of legends.
The Cotic Soul is as happy on long afternoon’s in the saddle as much as it is smashing berms and floating doubles down at the pump track. It’s a bike which doesn’t believe in being pigeonholed into marketing-friendly criteria; it’s about fun.
Fans of 29ers can find similar thrills in their beautiful Solaris and for the more firmly gravity focussed there’s the Bfe.
A real labour of love for Cy however was the brands first full-suspension model, the Rocket and it’s latest, the Flare. Steel remains at the heart of these bikes and there are options for every and all wheel size preferences are catered for. Again, the focus is on producing an easy to live with, fun ride at a price which will have the trail centre snobs puking into their lattes!
Check out their website for full and detailed product descriptions of everything Cotic have to offer; if they make it, Next Level Bikes can sell, service and look after it.
